Magnitone Lucid Facial Brush Review

DISCLAIMER: I've been sent this products by Magnitone for my honest review which is exactly what I've given you!

Hi everyone! I wanted to share with you my opinion of the Magnitone Lucid Faical Brush which I got in the colour Aqua Green! It retails at £69.99 but at the end I've got a special discount for you!

So a bit about the product; it is a face cleansing and exfoliating brush that claims to give you clearer and brighter skin in only 7 days! There are 4 summery shades of Sunshine Yellow, Aqua Green, Plush Pink and Dazzling Blue for you to choose from and two modes you can use, normal and sensitive depending on your skin type and I found that I needed a different mode depending on the day due to my combination skin sometimes being dry and others very oily!

To use you just press the button and off you go! It will beep every 20 seconds and then turn off after 1 minutes to ensure you aren't over using it. It recommends 20 for the forehead, 10 for each cheek and 20 for nose and chin but I did find it easier to stick with the 20 second beeps and use it for two minutes treating the forehead, left cheek, right cheek, nose and chin as separate parts.

What's included?
  • Dual Mode Lucid Brush
  • Active Clean brush head with SprayGuard™ bristles
  • Magnetic travel charger (3-pin UK plug + 2-pin EU plug
  • Instructions
  • 12 month warranty card

What I love about it is how portable it is! I'm currently in Tenerife and it was so easy just to chuck in my suitcase and know I'd be keeping my skin clean without having huge amounts of cleansers and exfoliators which would've put me well over the 15kg luggage limit! The fact that it is water proof is great as I used it as part of my morning routine in the shower which was so easy to do! I did use it once out of the shower but found that due to the movement my mirror got splattered a fair amount!

The moment of truth - did it really work? For me yes!

I took a photo everyday for a week after using this and although my skin at the moment isn't that bad (probably due to the fact exams are over!) I think you can still see a difference and my skin certainly felt a lot softer even after the first use. I did have to switch to the sensitive mode part way through as my skin in some patches began to dry out a little but it didn't last long!

Day 1

Day 2

Day 3
Day 4

Day 5
Day 6

Day 7

I'd definitely recommend getting one if you've got problems with your skin or just want to brighten your face for the summer because it's just too hot to be applying a full face of foundation! What's even better is I can give you 20% off if you use the code: BLOVE20 here

Hope you found this informative! Let me know what similar products you've used and if you think you'll make the switch! Thanks for reading!

Vaseline Spray & Go Moisturiser Review

Hi everyone! So I mentioned in my post on my New Years Resolutions that I would make more of an effort to moisturise my skin and we're a month into 2014 now and I've actually been sticking with it! Okay I've not moisturised everyday but I'm doing better with this one than my other resolutions. This has been mainly thanks to this wonderful product - Vaseline Spray & Go Body Moisturiser in Cocoa Radiant! It's £4.99 in most shops and I think I picked mine up from Boots using my Boots points!
I was a bit hesitant with it because I didn't really know how much like they advertise it would be, but I was pleasantly surprised! I tend to use it in the morning once I've had my shower and all you have to do is spray it on and give it a quick rub and you're done! Granted, it doesn't dry as quickly as it's portrayed in the advert but it still drys full in about a minute and then you can go ahead and get dressed.
As for the packaging I like that you can lock it by twisting the nozzle part round which means you can pop it into your suitcase without the worry of it accidentally spraying all over your clothes. As for the scent, it's nothing special really, just a sweet cocoa smell and I find it doesn't last for a huge amount of time which I guess could be a pro or a con.

I'd really recommend checking this out and if cocoa isn't your thing there are 2 other scents. Let me know what you think of it if you've tried it. Thanks for reading!

New Year Resolutions!

Hi everyone! It's that time again where we pick out all the bad things with out lives and make a statement to try and change them. I've not had a great track record with my resolutions, I usually break them after a month or so. But this year will be different! I thought if I wrote a post about it it would motivate me more to keep to them so we'll see!

1. Be healthier - I joined a gym last year and was going like 3 times a week but once I got a job I found I didn't really have the time to go anymore so this year I want to make time to go to the gym and actually work out there because before I would go on the cross trainer but slow down at the first drop of sweat or when I could feel a burn! Also I want to eat healthier too like not just eat because I'm bored!

2. Pay more attention to this blog - I said in a post that I've put this down as my skill for DofE but I don't want to feel like this is a chore or like something I 'have' to do, I actually want to put more into this blog and enjoy it at the same time!

3. Read more - I used to read so many books but when I started my GCSEs I just didn't enjoy it because I felt like there was other stuff I should be doing. I just need to spend less time on Tumblr and more time reading again!

4. Don't get too stressed out about school - I know A Levels are a big thing and by this time next year I will have applied to university and may have heard back from a few which is really scary but I don't want to get too bogged down in it if I'm struggling or don't know what to do with my life!

5. Look after my skin - I really need to start to moisturise properly because my skin gets so fragile at times and I got plenty of body butters for Christmas so I really have no excuse!

What are your resolutions for the new year? Let me know! I hope you have a great 2014 and thanks for reading!

My Night Time Skin Care Routine

Hi everyone! Now the humid weather has kicked in I have decided I really need to be taking better care of my skin. I know I should be doing so already, but I've never had too much of a problem with my skin thus I never really bothered to look after (that's really bad - I know) but for any number of reasons my skin has started to annoy me.

I think I have combination skin - it's mainly oily but sometimes it gets dry so this might not be relevant to you but you can enjoy reading what I do to my face!

Firstly I take off my make up. I normally/used to use Simple Cleansing Facial Wipes but I have read on so many blogs & in video blogs that it is really bad to use wipes.

So I had a voucher for £5 off any No7 skin care product to use in Boots so I bought some cleansing lotion. Normally it is £8 but of course with my voucher I got it for £3! I'm still getting used to using this instead of the wipes so I can't give my opinion on it yet.

After taking all my make up and any grime from the day off I wash my face with my Tea Tree Foaming Cleanser which I got from the Body Shop a little while ago for £5.

I then like to put a face mask on. I tend to buy them from Superdrug as they are 99p and are on a 3 for the price of 4 deal. I don't know if I have a small face or something but I find one face mask will last me 2-3 uses which makes them even better value for money! I like to have a variety of different masks my recurring favourites being: Tropical Smoothie Self Heating Mask; Dead Sea Purifying Clay Mask; Apricot Exfoliating Mask and Fruit Sorbet Peel Off Mask (which isn't pictured as I already used it!)

After leaving it on for a little bit I wash it off with cold water as I find it more refreshing & I think I read somewhere about it closing up the pores?

I then use my Cucumber Freshening Water which is sort of like a toner with a few extra bits also from The Body Shop and again I bought it a while ago so I don't remember the price.

Any spots I have I put a dab of this blemish stick from Witch.

Next and arguably most importantly I moisturise my skin with Simple Hydrating Moisturiser. This bottle is nearly all used up so please excuse it's worn looking exterior!

I then use a bit more of my Witch blemish stick and put a little bit of Savlon (which is just a brand antiseptic cream) on any spots that are particularly bad!

Last but not least, I think it is just as important to moisturise your lips as well as your skin. Loads of people find it strange that I have a tube of Vaseline instead of a pot but I find it much better as I hate using the pots as it gets under my nails and makes my finger feel sticky and odd - but that's just me!

And that's me done! Let me know how you look after your skin & if I have missed any products I should be using! Thank you for reading! (:
